Roxanne McGill

Senior Partnership Executive - Plymouth

What is your role at The Supply Register?

My role at The Supply Register is Senior Partnership Executive, Plymouth, I work on the executive team for the South West. I love my role because its varied and I get to speak with both candidates and schools – utilising my people skills and helping find a great match for both.

What did you do before joining The Supply Register

I worked as a sales manager before taking a break to adopt two children. Raising children is both the hardest and most rewarding job I have ever done.

What attracted you to join The Supply Register?

When I met with my line manager Emily Fry, I loved her passion about working for The Supply Register and how committed she was to seeing our region grow. I wanted to be part of that and to work alongside Emily and the SW Team. I wouldn’t change regions for the world!

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical work day starts with me making sure all my candidates are in for the day and jumping onto any extras or sickness covers required. I wait to make sure everyone has gone into school before we meet for our daily briefing, and then I am right onto recruitment. My schools will contact me throughout the day and I take pride in helping them and offering a top tier customer service. Followed by afternoon enquiries and problem solving.

What do you enjoy about your role with The Supply Register?

How many people get to work by the sea? In the Summer I jump into our local outdoor pool for a swim on my lunchbreak. There are so many benefits of a hybrid working role, it is really flexible and suits my family life. Our team work together brilliantly – we really are good friends. I love going to visit schools, many of which are in beautiful scenic areas. I also love working with the wider team at The Supply Register, they always celebrate our successes, we always feel heard.

What is an interesting fact about you that not many people know?

I am a level 5 qualified diver and swam competitively for Devon County.
