Wellspring Academy Trust

Welcome to the Wellspring Academy Trust Supply Service page. This is the place to start when it comes to learning more about the Trust’s staff bank.

Wellspring is a community comprising 31 academies that share a common goal – to make a difference.

The trust is dedicated to transforming the lives of children across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire by providing access to high-quality education.

Wellspring believes in social equity and works tirelessly to ensure that every young person under their care, irrespective of their background or challenges, has equal access to education.

“Our success so far has been founded on the principle of professional freedom enhanced by rigorous Quality Assurance and support systems provided by the Trust. I take enormous pride in the fact that each of our Academies has its own unique identity and way of being.

What unites Wellspring Academies is our accord on a broad set of principles. We believe in respect, in valuing people, in an inclusive and ethical approach and in continually striving to become even better. We are convinced that all of these elements are essential when it comes to providing the very best that we can for our young people.”

Mark Wilson – Wellspring Chief Executive

About The Trust

In 2013, The Forest Academy in Barnsley became a part of the Wellspring Trust. Since then, the Trust has grown to include 31 schools, each unique but with a shared goal of making a difference. These schools include mainstream secondary and primary schools, special schools, and alternative provision schools.

They are located across eight local authority areas, covering South, West, North Yorkshire, Humberside, and Lincolnshire. The Trust’s work extends beyond the classrooms and benefits other schools and communities. Wellspring encourages individuality and does not take a top-down approach, resulting in excellent outcomes that have been proven over time.

Wellspring firmly believes that every child should have access to an engaging and exciting education. They advocate for inclusive, supportive, and empathetic learning environments for children and young people. By promoting inclusive education, stronger communities, and better life chances, education becomes a powerful tool for improved outcomes for all. This, in turn, helps to promote social justice by ensuring equity for everyone. Guided by their ethics and driven by their values, Wellspring is passionate – to make a difference.
