Tell us about your past work experience.
Prior to working at The Supply Register, I started as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant Apprentice at the age of 18. I was working alongside a young girl with Down syndrome and I stayed with her up until year 4 before I was asked to move to a different school within the MAT to become a HLTA. After several years or working in schools, I decided I wanted to take a trip to Australia for the summer holidays. I left in July 2018 and found myself still out there in November 2020. I was in Australia for a few years and whilst out there, I was managing a 154 place childcare centre which was brand new. We were in the process of starting up, recruiting staff and making sure that we were compliant to all of the regulations. This was an incredible experience and I learnt a lot which helped me gain my position within TSR.
What does your day-to-day entail at The Supply Register?
Day to day at TSR is never the same! Between finding the best quality staff, working with our panel of agencies and making sure that the trusts we are partnered with are getting 5 star service, it really can be a bit of everything!
How does working at The Supply Register compare to other employers?
The opportunities that I have had at TSR do not compare to past employers. The autonomy, support and team mentality make it such a great place to work and grow your career.
How have you progressed since being with The Supply Register?
When I first started 2 years ago, I was a Junior Partnership Executive and I was the only person on the team in the South West. Now fast forward 2 years later and I have worked hard to get through 2 promotions and only recently have we been able to add a 4th member to the team which is honestly incredible considering where we were back in 2021!
What do you find to be most rewarding in your role?
There is nothing better than matching the perfect candidate with the perfect role. It’s the best element of the job knowing that the children are being supplied with the best quality teachers and teaching assistants!
