What to Expect

Team Teach offers bespoke de-escalation and positive handling strategies to teachers, teaching assistants, support workers, and carers who want to improve their situation management skills and reduce the risk of restraint. By increasing staff confidence and competence, Team Teach aims to promote and protect positive relationships while supporting teaching, learning, and caring.

  • To develop skills in behaviour support including verbal and non-verbal
    communication, diversion and de-escalation, reflecting on staff approaches

  • To develop skills in safe and effective physical interventions.
  • To expand on skills in positive listening and learning

Anyone who is operating in a low-risk primary or secondary school setting would benefit from this course, which offers a grounding in positive behaviour support strategies applicable across these environments. This course is also suitable for anyone working in low-risk adult or children’s service settings.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate confirming your Level One certification for Positive Behaviour Training, endorsed by Team Teach.

Emily Gaynor

Emily is the Assistant Partnership Manager for the South West and oversees several SEN schools in the region. Emily's background has always been firmly focused on education, beginning her career as a Teaching Assistant apprentice at age 18.

Having recently undergone a training course to become a Team Teach trainer, she is now equipped with the tools and knowledge to share her expertise and support schools and teachers within her network.

Mark Ellison

Mark is the Senior Partnership Executive for the North West. Mark began his professional journey in the field of education, where he honed his skills in teaching before transitioning into sales and recruitment.

Mark joined The Supply Register in 2021 and has, since then, been instrumental in driving success and growth in the North West. Mark recently qualified as a Team Teach trainer and is looking forward to being able to offer his expertise to support SEN schools.
