We are looking for a experienced SEN Teacher to work full time at one of our Primary Academies in the Wade Deacon Trust. The role will be full time starting in September for a full term initally, with the possibility of the role being extended in 2026.

This role will be to teach in the school’s Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) which consists of 3 classes catering for children who have a special educational need, specifically Autism, and present with Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning and Sensory Needs.

A great emphasis is placed in all classes on providing a safe, caring and happy environment which enables and encourages each child to develop to their full potential.

Classroom organisation and teaching methods take account of the individual learning requirements of the pupils and various strategies and techniques are used throughout the DSP by highly skilled and committed staff who work very much as a team.

The DSP follows a unique curriculum entitled ‘Curriculum Around the Pupil’ (CAP).

Requirements;

  • Qualified Teacher Staus in the UK
  • Experience of working with primary age children
  • Experience of working with children who have Special Educational Needs
