Placement Officer
Location: Kidderminster
Contract: Full-time / Part-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications
The Supply Register is currently inviting expressions of interest from enthusiastic and organised individuals to join our network as Placement Officers, supporting Further Education settings in Kidderminster. We partner with local colleges and training providers to help them find dedicated permanent and long-term staff to coordinate work placement and industry opportunities for learners.
About the Role:
As a Placement Officer, you will:
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers to secure high-quality work placements and industry opportunities for students
- Coordinate and manage the work placement process, ensuring all placements meet safeguarding and health & safety standards
- Work closely with curriculum teams and learners to identify placement opportunities that align with students’ study programmes and career goals
- Provide support, advice, and guidance to students and employers throughout the placement process
- Monitor progress and gather feedback from employers and students to ensure placements are successful and meaningful
- Maintain accurate records and data relating to placements and employer engagement
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with employers and/or coordinating work placements
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with learners, employers, and colleagues
- A commitment to supporting learners’ progression and employability
- Good knowledge of safeguarding practices and a willingness to complete relevant training
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a further education or post-16 setting
- Knowledge of the local employment landscape in Kidderminster and surrounding areas
- Familiarity with relevant health & safety and safeguarding requirements in work-based learning
