The Supply Register is working in partnership with a Swale Academies Trust secondary school in Eastbourne, which is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Individual Needs Assistant to join its thriving team from September 2025.
This is a vital and rewarding role supporting students with special educational needs both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering one-to-one and small group support to help students access the curriculum.

Supporting the planning and adaptation of classroom materials to meet individual needs.

Encouraging student independence, confidence, and participation in learning.

Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and professionals to implement support strategies.

Assisting in the social, emotional, and behavioural development of students.
We are looking for someone who:

Has a genuine passion for supporting young people with diverse learning needs.

Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Is adaptable, resilient, and works well as part of a team.

Embodies the trust’s values of diversity, innovation, respect, and aspiration.

Has experience or relevant qualifications in SEN support (desirable, though not essential as training will be provided).
