Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

 

Are you passionate about English and dedicated to inspiring young minds? Wade Deacon High School is seeking a talented and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our outstanding English department from September 2025.

 

This is a long-term, ongoing role, open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners looking to make a real impact in a supportive and high-achieving environment.

 

About Us:

The Supply Register are working in partnership with the Wade Deacon High School which is a vibrant, inclusive, and high-performing secondary school committed to excellence in teaching and learning. We pride ourselves on our strong community ethos, high expectations, and a rich curriculum that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and confidence in every student.

 

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Foster a love of literature and language through innovative teaching strategies

  • Support students in achieving academic success and developing essential literacy skills

  • Participate in departmental planning and whole-school initiatives

  • Work collaboratively with a passionate team of educators

 

We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (or pending award of QTS for ECTs)

  • A strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • A commitment to student progress and continuous professional development

  • An individual who shares our values and enthusiasm for education
