The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with Newcastle College to recruit a passionate and experienced mental health professional for the role of Advanced Technical Lecturer (ATL) – Mental Health.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of mental health education within the College’s Health and Science department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and growth of the Mental Health T Level—an innovative and increasingly vital pathway aligned with NHS and regional workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver the Mental Health T Level curriculum, embedding modern, industry-aligned practices such as trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and therapeutic communication.
- Collaborate closely with local employers to ensure courses reflect current practice and prepare learners for real-world challenges.
- Inspire and mentor students towards sustainable and meaningful careers in the mental health sector.
- Provide pedagogical leadership across the department and contribute to strategic development of the programme.
Who We’re Looking For: We welcome applicants from a broad range of mental health backgrounds, including RMNs, HCPC-registered professionals, Social Workers, or Occupational Therapists with mental health specialisms. You’ll bring clinical expertise, a strong commitment to education, and the drive to empower the next generation of mental health practitioners.
