Here at The Supply Register we are working in partnership with The North School in Ashford to find an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher to join an already successful Mathematics department. The role welcomes applications from teachers with varying degrees of experience – from ECTs through to seasoned educators. A prerequisite will be outstanding subject knowledge. A TLR payment may be available for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge in their area of expertise, who can deliver exceptional outcomes. You should be passionate about engaging all students in this subject, committed to delivering well planned and inspirational lessons to help students make excellent progress.

Duties

  • To plan and prepare courses.
  • To continuously review teaching methods, schemes of work and resources as necessary.
  • To plan and prepare lessons.
  • To teach pupils assigned, including setting and prompt marking of work carried out by pupils in school or elsewhere.
  • To communicate and consult with the parents of pupils when required.
  •  To communicate and co-operate with other persons and outside agencies as required.
  • To be aware of Health and Safety issues and the hazards associated with manual handling tasks, including the cumulative effect of repeated manual handling operations.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Ability to plan and prepare programmes of work, appropriately differentiated, for the delivery of the curriculum to children in the secondary school age range.
  • Ability to select appropriate resources to create a stimulating learning environment.
  • Ability to direct the work of a teaching assistant.
  • Enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
  • Ability to communicate positively with children.
  • Must hold the Right to work for the UK
  • Must be able to provide a minimum of two professional references
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be willing to process one
