Job Summary:
The Supply Register is currently seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Work Experience Coordinator to join Newcastle College on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support learners across a range of vocational levels in developing their employability skills and preparing for future careers.
This role is ideal for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, who is passionate about helping young people gain valuable workplace experience and achieve their career aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver a comprehensive programme of work experience and industry placements.
- Support learners to secure and complete meaningful placements relevant to their studies.
- Work closely with curriculum staff and employers to develop opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress using internal systems.
- Encourage learners to take ownership of their career plans and personal development.
Requirements:
- General education to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
- GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Strong organisational and IT skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one through The Supply Register).
