The Supply Register are working in partnership with St Patrick’s RC Primary School in Rochdale to recruit a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged student with an EHCP.

This is an immediate start opportunity, with the potential for long-term or permanent placement for the right candidate.

✅ The Role:

  • Provide individualised 1:1 support to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN), in line with their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)

  • Support both academic learning and emotional development

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement tailored strategies

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

About You:

  • Experience supporting SEN pupils 1:1 in a primary school setting is essential

  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, or emotional/behavioural needs

  • Calm, patient and adaptable with excellent communication skills

  • Able to build trust and rapport with children, parents and staff

  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) is desirable
