Job Summary:
The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with Carlisle College to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Progress Coach to join the Learner Experience Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support students on a 1:1 and group basis, guiding their personal development, promoting academic success, and helping them progress into further education, training, or employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in achieving their course goals and remaining engaged with their studies.
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with learners to identify and close gaps in knowledge.
- Address pastoral and attendance concerns, helping students overcome barriers to learning.
- Liaise effectively with parents, guardians, and internal teams to develop meaningful action plans for student success.
- Support learners with SEND and ensure inclusive practices are in place.
- Contribute to the college’s safeguarding efforts and act as a trusted adult for students requiring support.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience supporting learners with SEND needs.
- Awareness of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A learner-centred, supportive approach.
Desirable:
- Background in education, youth work, or mentoring.
