Job Summary:

The Supply Register is working in partnership with Newcastle College to recruit two full-time Learner Support Funding Administrators to join the Student Services Team at Rye Hill Campus.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting learners by managing and distributing essential funds such as bursaries for childcare, travel, equipment, and free college meals. If you have strong attention to detail, a customer-focused mindset, and excellent organisational skills, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and process applications for learner support funds, including bursaries for travel, childcare, equipment, and meals.
Liaise with students, staff, and external stakeholders to provide information on funding availability and eligibility criteria.
Maintain accurate learner records and ensure data is recorded and updated in line with funding requirements.
Monitor and track expenditure and usage of allocated funds.
Support the delivery of an efficient and compliant funding service, ensuring timely responses to enquiries and requests.
Assist with reporting and audits by preparing relevant documentation and summaries.

Requirements:

Essential:

Strong administrative and data-entry skills.
Experience working in a customer-facing or learner-focused environment.
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and accuracy.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Desirable:

Experience in Further Education, student services, or funding administration.
Familiarity with bursary processes and college funding systems.
