Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Eastbourne

Are you passionate about education and supporting young learners to thrive? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Eastbourne on a full-time basis.

Location: Eastbourne
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development across the curriculum. Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other support professionals, you’ll help to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teachers in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons

  • Offer one-to-one or small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere

  • Assist in preparing classroom materials and maintaining a safe, stimulating environment

  • Support pupils with personal development, social skills, and emotional wellbeing

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school setting is required

  • A positive, proactive, and patient approach to working with children

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine interest in education and child development

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable
