English Lecturer Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and deliver course content in English language and literature.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and presentations.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students.
- Conduct research and stay updated on new developments in the field of English studies.
- Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career goals.
- Integrate technology and multimedia resources into lessons.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and program development.
- Organize and participate in extracurricular activities and literary events.
English Lecturer Qualifications & Skills
- Ph.D. in English, Literature, or a related field.
- Experience teaching at the college or university level.
- Published work in the field of English studies.
- Proficiency with educational technology and online learning platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Master’s degree in English, Literature, or a related field.
- Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of English language and literature.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using classroom technology and software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
