Join Our Supply Pool for Eastbourne Secondary Schools!
We’re recruiting bank candidates to support Swale Schools, specifically Eastbourne Secondary schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in working with children in a flexible, supportive, and rewarding environment.
What the role involves:
- Flexible availability from 1 to 5 days per week
- Booking options to suit you — in advance, the day before, or even on the morning at 7am
- Hours: 8:15am to 3:30pm
- Pay: £98 to £140 per day, depending on experience
- No marking or lesson planning required — all work is prepared for you!
- No need to be a qualified teacher or subject expert — just enthusiasm, a strong presence, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
- Subject specialisms such as PE or English are a bonus; sports coaches and graduates are encouraged to apply!
What a typical day looks like:
You’ll arrive at 8:15am and receive your planner for the day. The morning might involve covering History or English lessons, while the afternoon could include Maths, Languages, or IT. All lessons are fully planned, so your role is to be enthusiastic and help keep the class focused and engaged. If you have expertise or interest in a particular subject—like a science degree or you are a sports coach—we can try to match you with relevant cover opportunities.
Why join us?
As a bank staff member, you’ll gain experience working across different schools and year groups. Many candidates have progressed from bank roles to long-term or permanent positions, making this a great way to start or develop your career in education.
If you’re passionate about working with young people and want a flexible role with excellent pay and potential for growth, we’d love to hear from you!
