The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with NCG to recruit a dedicated Hospitality & Catering Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving department and play a vital role in supporting practical learning activities for students.
The Role:
You will provide professional and efficient support to the Hospitality & Catering department, ensuring safe and well-prepared working environments for staff and students. You’ll help set up and maintain practical training spaces, manage equipment and resources, and ensure hygiene, safety, and quality standards are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, set up, and distribute equipment and materials for practical lessons.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of all work areas, equipment, and materials.
- Support the setup and close-down of training environments.
- Organise and rotate stock, ensuring timely disposal of products in line with safety standards.
- Receive, store, and distribute food and non-food supplies.
- Maintain storage areas (dry stores, fridges, freezers, COSHH items) to high standards.
- Liaise with external providers to coordinate departmental services such as laundry and equipment servicing.
- Comply with all relevant health, safety, and food safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 2 Literacy/Numeracy (Maths & English) or equivalent.
- Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to work towards).
- Allergen Awareness Training Level 2 (or willingness to work towards).
- Experience working in kitchens or a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
