Location: Halewood, Knowsley
Contract Type: Full-time (Temporary, Temp-to-Perm, or Supply)
Salary: £30,000 – £46,525 per annum (dependent on experience)

Halewood Academy is a thriving and inclusive secondary school committed to delivering high-quality education. We are seeking a passionate Science Teacher who can teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to engage and inspire students in the sciences – whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons tailored to a wide range of learners.

Plan, mark, and assess students’ work in line with curriculum expectations.

Contribute to raising standards of achievement and attainment in the department.

Support the wider school community and contribute to a positive school culture.

Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.

A passion for Science and a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

A current enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one through The Supply Register).
