Job Summary:
The Supply Register is partnering with Newcastle College to recruit a highly skilled and motivated Super Tutor in Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Engineering Department at the Rye Hill Campus, where you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional further education learning and guiding students toward successful futures in industry or higher education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and assess high-quality vocational engineering programmes.
- Support learners in developing technical expertise, employability skills, and academic independence.
- Administer course content, monitor student progress, and provide actionable feedback.
- Plan and deliver tailored tutorials that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Identify learning styles and adapt teaching strategies to maximise engagement and success.
- Promote progression into higher education, apprenticeships, or employment.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and engage with parents/guardians to support learner development.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong vocational background in engineering.
- Proven track record in delivering and assessing vocational training.
- Ability to support the development of both technical and employability skills.
- Level 6 degree (or equivalent) in engineering or related field.
- Post-16 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Level 2 English and Maths, or commitment to achieving them.
Desirable:
- Experience tailoring tutorials to individual learning styles.
- Confidence in creating engaging, student-centred sessions.
