The Supply Register is proud to be supporting Newcastle College in recruiting dedicated and knowledgeable Health Care Practice Lecturers with Psychology expertise. This temporary role is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators or experienced healthcare professionals looking to support the next generation of practitioners.
About the Role
You will be delivering high-quality teaching and learning across a range of Level 4–6 modules within Health Care Practice, including:

Lifespan and Developmental Psychology
-
Health & Social Care Frameworks
-
Healthcare Practice Procedures & Professional Standards
-
Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, and Ethics in Practice
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Planning engaging lessons that meet awarding body and curriculum requirements
-
Delivering clear and structured teaching at HE/FE Levels 4–6
-
Assessing learners, providing constructive feedback, and supporting academic progress
-
Ensuring learning materials meet professional and industry standards
-
Creating an inclusive learning environment where all students thrive
What We’re Looking For
Applicants must have the ability to confidently deliver content in the areas listed above. You will also need:
Experience:
-
Experience teaching in HE or FE at Level 4–6, or
-
Substantial professional experience in a healthcare or support role with a strong understanding of human development
Qualifications:
-
A degree in Health & Social Care, Nursing, Psychology, or a related field (essential)
-
A postgraduate qualification (PGCert, MSc, or higher) – desirable
-
A teaching qualification (PGCE, DET, or working towards) – desirable
Compliance:
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service (essential)
-
Right to work in the UK
