At The Grange SEN School in Manchester, they are dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential. We are currently seeking a committed and compassionate KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their experienced team.

About the Role:
As a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider SEN team to support pupils with a range of complex needs, including ASD, speech and language difficulties, learning delays, and sensory processing challenges.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils in KS1

Assisting with the implementation of personalised learning plans

Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies

Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Liaising with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support
What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a primary or special school setting

A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable
