Daily Supply, Short‑Term & Long‑Term Opportunities

Beckfoot Phoenix in Keighley works in partnership with The Supply Register, who manage all cover requirements for the school. We are now recruiting SEND and Behaviour Support staff to work across a range of day‑to‑day, short‑term, and long‑term assignments.

These roles are ideal for individuals with experience supporting pupils with SEND needs, behavioural challenges, or additional learning requirements, and who are confident working in a specialist setting.

About the Role

You will support pupils with a variety of needs, including:

  • Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH)

  • Autism (ASC)

  • Behavioural needs

  • Communication and interaction difficulties

  • Learning difficulties

Roles may include:

  • 1:1 SEND support

  • Behaviour mentoring

  • Classroom‑based support

  • Small‑group intervention work

  • De‑escalation and pastoral support

Assignments are offered on a supply basis through The Supply Register.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEND or behavioural needs in accessing learning

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

  • Assist with behaviour regulation and de‑escalation strategies

  • Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff

  • Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND or behavioural needs

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • A calm, patient and resilient approach

  • Ability to follow support plans and adapt strategies

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
