Primary SEN Teaching Assistant required in Castle Bromwich

Contract Type: Long-term, Short-term, and Day-to-day available

Salary: £92.59 – £96.59 per day (negotiable, depending on experience)

The Supply Register is excited to announce our new partnership with Prosper Together Multi-Academy Trust and is looking to recruit experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support schools in Castle Bromwich and the surround area’s on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing partnership and work across schools within the Trust, making a positive impact by supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Whether you have previous experience working in schools or transferable skills gained through youth work, care, support work, coaching, or similar roles, we would love to hear from you.

We have opportunities to suit your availability, including full-time, part-time, long-term, and day-to-day assignments across primary and secondary schools within Prosper Together Multi-Academy Trust.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SEND teams to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive both academically and personally.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally supporting those with Special Educational Needs.

  • Experience within a classroom, care, youth work, residential, or support setting is desirable.

  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.

  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • High expectations of all pupils and a commitment to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes.

  • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCOs, and wider school staff.
