Location: Various Schools within Swale Academies Trust – Eastbourne
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
Start Date: As soon as possible

Are you confident, reliable, and passionate about working with young people? Swale Academies Trust is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our team across our secondary schools.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absence. This is a fantastic opportunity for those considering a career in education or for experienced individuals looking to make a difference in schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during short-term teacher absence

  • Take the register and ensure a calm and focused learning environment

  • Distribute and oversee the completion of pre-set work – no planning or marking required

  • Maintain classroom discipline in line with the school’s behaviour policy

  • Support students in staying on task and managing their time effectively

What We’re Looking For:

  • Confident individuals with strong classroom presence

  • Ability to manage behaviour in a calm and consistent manner

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience working with secondary-aged children is desirable but not essential

  • Flexible, proactive, and reliable
