Day‑to‑Day, Short‑Term & Long‑Term Supply Opportunities
Beckfoot Thornton in Bradford works in partnership with The Supply Register, who manage all cover requirements for the school. We are now recruiting Pastoral Support Staff, Inclusion Room Leaders, SEMH Support Assistants, SEN Support Staff, and Intervention Specialists to work across a range of day‑to‑day, short‑term, and long‑term assignments.
These roles are ideal for individuals with experience supporting pupils with behavioural needs, SEND requirements, social/emotional challenges, or those who have worked in pastoral or inclusion‑based environments.
About the Roles
We are seeking staff who can support pupils in a variety of settings, including:

Inclusion room supervision
-
Pastoral and wellbeing support
-
SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) support
-
SEN classroom assistance
-
Running targeted interventions
-
Behaviour mentoring and de‑escalation
Assignments are offered on a supply basis through The Supply Register, with opportunities for extended placements.
Key Responsibilities
-
Support pupils with behavioural, emotional or SEND needs
-
Supervise and manage the inclusion room effectively
-
Deliver or support small‑group and 1:1 interventions
-
Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
-
Assist with behaviour regulation and de‑escalation strategies
-
Work collaboratively with pastoral, SEN and teaching teams
-
Maintain a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
-
Experience in pastoral, SEMH, SEN, behaviour support, or inclusion roles
-
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
-
A calm, patient and resilient approach
-
Ability to follow support plans and adapt strategies
-
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
