The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and experienced professional to lead our clients Payroll and HR Data, as well as deputising for the HR Director. You will manage the internal payroll team and oversee the relationship with their outsourced payroll provider, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
You will also take ownership of HR data reporting and analytics, producing key reports such as:
• Gender Pay Gap reporting
• Absence and sickness trends – reported half-termly
• Re-advertised vacancies – reported at the start of each term for the previous term
• Exit interview analysis – reported at the start of each term for the previous term
• Trust KPI Reports – reported twice a year
• Pay Progression Equality Data
• Salary Statements
• Apprenticeship Levy monitoring
• Equality Monitoring Report
• Trade Union Facility Time Report
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to support senior leadership and school leaders.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR systems.
Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will support strategic decision-making and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
In addition you will provide technical HR advisory support on complex employee relations matters, including but not limited to:
- Investigation meetings
- Absence management meetings
- Grievance hearings
- Disciplinary hearings
- Probationary review hearings
Ensuring HR casework is managed in line with our clients policy, employment law, and best practice.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a candidate who brings:
- Strong payroll and pensions knowledge, including experience working with outsourced providers
- Excellent analytical skills and experience working with HR data
- Confidence in using HRIS and Excel to produce meaningful reports
- Experience in HR casework
- A collaborative and proactive approach to working with schools and stakeholders
- Someone who is CIPD or CIPP qualified desirable.
