Design & Technology Teacher – Chesterfield
Full-Time | Immediate Start Available | Long-Term Opportunity
The Supply Register is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Chesterfield to recruit a Full-Time Design & Technology Teacher for an ongoing long-term role.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate DT specialist to inspire students through creativity, practical learning and innovation across Key Stages 3 and 4. We are looking for a teacher who can bring their subject to life and help students develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed.
Whether you specialise in Resistant Materials, Product Design, Engineering, Graphics or a related DT discipline, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Develop students’ practical skills, creativity and problem-solving abilities
- Assess, monitor and support student progress
- Maintain a safe, organised and productive workshop environment
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
- Work collaboratively within a supportive DT department
We’re Looking For Candidates Who:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level
- Possess strong subject knowledge in areas such as Resistant Materials, Engineering, Product Design or similar disciplines
- Are passionate about practical learning and student achievement
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management
- Work effectively as part of a team
