Dixons Academy Trust — Leeds Daily Supply, Short‑Term & Long‑Term Opportunities

The Supply Register is recruiting Design & Technology Teachers to support schools across the Dixons Academy Trust in Leeds. We are seeking teachers with strong practical skills and experience delivering D&T across KS3 and KS4 for day‑to‑day, short‑term, and long‑term assignments.

About the Role

You will teach a range of D&T disciplines, which may include:

  • Product Design

  • Engineering

  • Graphics

  • Food Technology

  • Textiles

  • Resistant Materials

Roles are offered on a supply basis through The Supply Register, with opportunities for extended placements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, practical lessons aligned with the D&T curriculum

  • Maintain a safe workshop environment and adhere to H&S procedures

  • Support pupils with practical projects and coursework

  • Manage behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations

  • Work collaboratively with the wider D&T department

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Design & Technology in secondary settings

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • Ability to deliver practical lessons safely and effectively

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
