Swale Academies Trust is looking to recruit reliable, confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support teaching and learning across our secondary schools. Whether you’re seeking a full-time role or looking to work flexibly across the week, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive education environment.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education in the absence of the regular class teacher. You’ll be delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students remain engaged, motivated and focused on their learning throughout the day.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Supervising classes during teacher absence

Managing classroom behaviour effectively

Ensuring pupils complete the work set by the teacher

Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons

Upholding the school’s values and safeguarding responsibilities at all times
This is an excellent role for individuals who are considering a career in education or want to make a difference in young people’s lives, without the planning or marking responsibilities of a full teaching role.

Previous experience working in a school or with young people is desirable, but not essential – full and support will be provided. This role is well suited to graduates, teaching assistants looking to progress, or professionals from other sectors exploring a career in education.
