Cover Supervisors Needed in Telford
Community Academies Trust
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: £82.62 – £95.43 per day (may be negotiable depending on experience)

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join schools within Community Academies Trust across Telford. We welcome applications from experienced Cover Supervisors as well as individuals with transferable skills and experience, such as sports coaches, youth workers, teaching assistants, mentors, and community leaders.
As a Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher.
- Ensuring students complete the work that has been set and remain focused on their learning.
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Supporting students with their work and providing guidance where appropriate.
- Reporting any concerns or issues to the relevant members of staff.
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Assisting with general classroom activities as required.
Requirements:
Experience: Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
Enhanced DBS: Registered on the Update Service, or willing to apply for one.
Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
Adaptability: Ability to work confidently across different subjects and classroom environments.
Attitude: A positive, proactive approach and a genuine commitment to supporting students’ learning and development.
