Cover Supervisor – Lightcliffe Academy (Halifax)

The Supply Register is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work at Lightcliffe Academy in Halifax, part of Abbey Multi Academy Trust. We have immediate, long‑term, and flexible supply opportunities available.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a supportive secondary school environment, covering lessons across a range of subjects.

Role Overview

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across the curriculum

  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain engagement

  • Support pupils in completing learning activities

  • Create a positive and productive learning environment

  • Follow safeguarding policies and school procedures

Requirements

  • Experience working with secondary‑aged students

  • Confidence leading classes independently

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Clear communication and organisational skills

  • A positive, adaptable and professional approach
