The Supply Register is working in partnership with Newcastle College to recruit Computer Science Lecturers to support across their computing and digital programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a well-established college, with the potential to secure longer-term or permanent roles.
Whether you’re an experienced Computer Science Lecturer, teacher, or an IT/tech professional looking to move into education, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
You’ll support learners across a range of computing courses, helping them develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed for careers in the digital sector.

Deliver engaging lessons across Level 1–Level 3 (BTEC / A Level / T Level)

Teach topics such as programming, software development, databases, networking, and cyber security

Support learners with coursework, projects, and exam preparation

Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds:
Essential:
-
Experience in Computer Science / IT / Digital (teaching or industry)
-
Strong subject knowledge across key computing areas
-
Ability to support both theory and practical learning
-
Strong communication and organisational skills
-
A flexible and reliable approach
Desirable:
-
Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)
-
Experience delivering BTEC, A Level, or T Level computing
-
Industry experience in software development, IT, networking, or cyber security
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
