The Supply Register is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join the team at Beckfoot Thornton. As a vibrant and inclusive school, Beckfoot Thornton is committed to creating an environment where every student feels supported and empowered to succeed.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work closely with students, teachers, pastoral staff, and families to promote positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and engagement in learning. You will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural and emotional needs.

Implement behaviour support strategies that encourage positive engagement and emotional well-being.

Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to develop and deliver personalised support plans.

Monitor, record, and report on student progress, ensuring interventions are effective and responsive.

Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, acting as a supportive and consistent role model.
What We’re Looking For

Experience working with children or young people in an education, care, or support setting.

An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to remain calm, resilient, and solution-focused in challenging situations.

A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
