Spotlight on Kayleigh Hewitt in her new role as Head of Implementations

Kayleigh will be a familiar name for any client who has joined us in the last two years. As a Senior Account Executive, Kayleigh has successfully onboarded 26 clients and played a key role in delivering smooth implementations.

Her project management skills, company knowledge, and personable nature have led to a seamless transition to ‘Head of Implementations’, where she will ensure our newest clients get the best possible start.

Kayleigh has taken time out of her busy schedule to answer a few questions about herself and her role at The Supply Register, and to share a few things you might not know about her, including her radio days, footballing ambitions, and her ever-present sidekick, Coco.

What is your new role at The Supply Register and how is it different to your previous role?

“In my initial role as Senior Account Executive with The Supply Register, I was heavily involved with working with business development and driving growth. In that role, I uncovered sales opportunities, sat in on sales presentations, and once the contract was signed, managed onboarding and the full project management process. In my new role as Head of Implementations, I will focus solely on ensuring new partnerships start strong, deliver real value, and are set up for long-term success. During my time as Senior Account Executive, I developed a real understanding of what makes relationships work at The Supply Register, and I’m excited to bring that experience into my new role.”

What did you do before joining The Supply Register?

“For the bulk of my career, I have worked in sales roles, including account management, strategic sales, recruitment and client relationships. I moved into recruitment almost 10 years ago, starting at Total Jobs before moving to The Access Group. These were key account management roles, giving me experience in managing and growing major accounts, the ability to build strong client relationships and understand customer requirements, translating them into effective solutions.”

What attracted you to join The Supply Register?

“The Supply Register was one of my clients whilst working in my previous job. The Supply Register move felt like a natural progression to something more meaningful; I fully understood what they were looking to achieve, and it aligns with my ethos. Working with schools and Multi-Academy Trusts to deliver a product that ultimately helps schools and candidates get better value appealed to me. As a parent, it also felt increasingly relevant to me, and bringing my commercial and relationship management experience into the education sector felt like a natural step.

The Supply Register is also very forward-thinking; for example, it was only one year ago that our bespoke system tsr365 was launched, and now a key part of my role is to provide training so that schools can get the most out of what it offers.”

What does a typical day look like for you?

“It sounds like a cliché, but no day is the same at The Supply Register… A typical day for me is quite varied, which is one of the things I enjoy about implementation. I’d usually start by reviewing progress across our projects, looking at key milestones, risks, customer feedback and anything that needs escalation.

A big part of my day also involves working directly with Trusts and internal stakeholders – understanding what they need, managing expectations, and making sure we’re delivering against agreed timelines and outcomes. So, while there’s a strong element of planning and project management, I’d say my day is ultimately about three things: keeping delivery on track, supporting the team, and making sure customers get real value from the implementation.”

Have you got a stand-out moment in your job that you can share with us?

“This promotion has definitely been a real highlight for me, and a great example of how The Supply Register recognises and rewards people for the work they do. Earlier this year, I was also really proud to win the Central Operations Champion Award at our company Excellence Awards. It meant a lot to be recognised, as it reflects the hard work, commitment and collaboration that goes on behind the scenes every day.”

What do you enjoy about your role with The Supply Register?

“The people – I am truly grateful to work alongside such dedicated and supportive colleagues.

I also love how passionate we all are about helping trusts streamline supply, strengthen compliance and achieve better value through a managed service model that aligns with wider operational and financial goals.”

What is an interesting fact about you that not many people know?

“I’ve got a couple of interesting facts! I worked in radio for almost 10 years for Heart and Capital. I was part of the events team, and I sometimes helped out on the morning shows by writing scripts for traffic and travel. I met a few famous people whilst working there.

Football is a big thing in my family; since I could remember walking, I had a football at my feet, but when I was younger there weren’t many girls who played football. In secondary school, I was selected to play at the Centre of Excellence, which was the pathway to the England ladies at the time. I obviously didn’t get that far, but it was a dream and a great opportunity. I am a big Aston Villa fan and try to go to the games where I can. My little girl is also a Villa fan, and unfortunately sometimes Man United!

I also have a little dog called Coco, who I rescued earlier this year- a Border Terrier crossed with I’m not too sure… She is on most of my meetings with me; even though you don’t see her, she doesn’t leave my side.”
