Lunchtime Supervisor – Lichfield

Location: Lichfield
School: Primary School
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term, ongoing temporary
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
Hours: 11:30am – 1:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Lunchtime Supervisor to join a primary school in Lichfield, starting as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring their safety and wellbeing and helping to create a positive, calm and enjoyable environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising pupils during lunchtime

  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times

  • Supporting positive behaviour and addressing minor incidents appropriately

  • Helping to maintain a calm, safe and welcoming environment

  • Assisting pupils where required

  • Reporting any concerns or incidents to the appropriate member of staff

  • Working effectively as part of the wider school team

  • Following the school’s safeguarding procedures and policies

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children is desirable

  • A positive, patient and approachable manner

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Reliable and punctual

  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of children

Safeguarding & Compliance

As this is a school-based role, all candidates will be required to successfully complete Supply Register’s full vetting and compliance process prior to commencing work.

This will include:

  • A minimum of two satisfactory employer references covering the previous 24 months

  • Three references where the candidate has not previously worked with children

  • Where there are gaps in employment, a professional character reference will be required

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred

  • Candidates without a DBS on the Update Service must be willing to obtain a new Enhanced DBS

  • Right to Work checks

  • Full safeguarding and compliance checks

This is a long-term, ongoing opportunity offering consistent weekday hours within a primary school environment.
