This is an excellent opportunity to support learners in developing essential English skills, helping them build confidence and achieve their educational, employment, and personal goals.
About the Role
- As a Functional Skills English Lecturer at Coleg Cambria, you will:
- Deliver engaging and effective Functional Skills English lessons to learners across a range of programmes,
- Plan and prepare learning activities that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements,
- Support learners in developing their reading, writing, speaking, listening, and communication skills,
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement,
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment,
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure learners achieve successful outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience teaching English or Functional Skills within Further Education, training, or a related setting,
- Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English qualifications and curriculum requirements,
- Excellent communication and organisational skills,
- A passion for supporting and developing learners of all abilities,
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable,
- A valid or update-service DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
