About the Role
Inspire Partnership Multi-Academy Trust (IPMAT) is seeking enthusiastic, caring and resilient Behaviour and SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team across our family of primary schools.
You will support pupils who may have special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and behavioural or learning barriers. Your role will be to help pupils access learning, develop positive behaviour strategies, and build confidence and independence within a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils in the classroom and in small groups
- Assisting with learning activities under the direction of the class teacher
- Supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social development
- Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
Person Specification
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have experience working with children or young people (school experience preferred)
- Understand, or are willing to develop understanding of, SEN and behaviour support
- Are calm, patient and consistent in their approach
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Have a committed and professional attitude
