Teaching Assistants –
Location: Lewisham
Role: Teaching Assistant
Pay: £104 – £107 per day
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils across schools within the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools in Lewisham, including Prendergast Vale School and Prendergast Primary (Ladywell) School. These are well-established schools with supportive staff teams and positive learning environments.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting children in primary or secondary settings, particularly those with special educational needs, who are passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities – Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
- Support children with additional needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children with SEN – essential
- Experience in a primary or secondary school setting
- Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
