Are you a Health & Safety professional with real-world industry experience and a passion for teaching?
Newcastle College, in partnership with The Supply Register, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Tutor to join their Rail Department on a temporary basis to provide sickness cover.
About the role:
This role focuses on delivering engaging Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Safety sessions to learners preparing for or already working within the rail sector. You’ll support learners through both classroom delivery and 1-2-1 pastoral and tutorial sessions, helping them develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in their chosen field.
Key responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Health & Safety (Levels 2 and 3).

Provide pastoral support and conduct regular 1-2-1 tutorials with learners.

Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Work collaboratively with the Rail Department team to ensure learner success.
✅ What we’re looking for:

Strong Health & Safety industry experience – essential.

Prior teaching or training experience in Health & Safety – highly desirable.

Knowledge or experience of the rail industry – advantageous but not essential.

A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).

Excellent communication and mentoring skills with a learner-focused approach.
