Newcastle College, in partnership with The Supply Register, is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Painting & Decorating Lecturer to inspire and train future trades professionals.
We’re looking for practical experts!
This role is perfect for someone with extensive on-site experience who takes pride in their craft and wants to help learners develop the same high standards. Whether you’ve worked in commercial, residential, or industrial decorating, your real-world knowledge will make a lasting impact in the classroom and workshop.
What you’ll be doing:

Delivering engaging and practical lessons to learners aged 16+ on Painting & Decorating courses.

Demonstrating hands-on techniques, from surface preparation and finishing to specialist decorative work.

Supporting learners to develop both technical skills and industry-ready attitudes.

Providing feedback and guidance to help learners reach their potential.

Maintaining a safe, organised, and professional workshop environment.
✅ What we’re looking for:

Strong, proven industry experience in Painting & Decorating (essential).

A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
-
Experience delivering training or mentoring others in a workshop setting (desirable).

A genuine passion for helping young people build practical skills and confidence.
