Location: Newcastle College, Newcastle upon Tyne
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (01 October 2025 – 30 November 2025)
Hours: 37 per week (24 teaching hours)

Job Summary:
The Supply Register is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Computing Lecturer to deliver engaging teaching in Data and Python Programming at Newcastle College. This full-time temporary role is an excellent opportunity to support learners from Level 3 up to Level 7 and contribute to their academic and career development in computing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 24 hours of teaching per week in Data and Python Programming.
- Plan, deliver, and assess modules across Levels 3–7.
- Create high-quality learning materials to support student engagement.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to learners.
- Work collaboratively with programme leaders to support course management.
Requirements:
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (or equivalent).
- A relevant degree in Computing (or related discipline).
- Experience teaching Data and Python programming.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one through The Supply Register).
