The Supply Register is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support schools across Netherton, Liverpool, with opportunities available from September 2026.

We are seeking passionate individuals who are committed to supporting pupils in their learning and development. Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to begin your career in education, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils across the classroom.
  • Assist teachers with lesson activities and classroom management.
  • Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Provide additional support to pupils with SEND where required.
  • Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage pupils to engage confidently with their learning.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to meet pupils’ individual needs.

✅ Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Experience within a school or education setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, or SEMH, is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and positive approach.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A flexible, reliable, and professional attitude.
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
