About the Role
As a Motor Vehicle Lecturer at Kidderminster College, you will:
- Deliver engaging and practical lessons across Automotive programmes from Level 1 to Level 3,
- Plan and prepare learning activities that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements,
- Support learners in developing technical knowledge, diagnostic skills, and industry-standard working practices,
- Contribute to the delivery of the Level 2 Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship Standard and support the future development of Level 3 apprenticeship provision,
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement,
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment within workshop and classroom settings.
What We’re Looking For
- A relevant Motor Vehicle qualification at Level 3 or above,
- Industry experience within the automotive sector,
- Experience delivering IMI qualifications is desirable but not essential,
- Knowledge of the Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard and an understanding of Level 3 apprenticeship provision,
- An F-Gas qualification would be beneficial, although training and support can be provided to obtain this qualification,
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable, along with a valid or update-service DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
