About the Role

As a Health & Social Care Lecturer, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across BTEC and vocational Health & Social Care programmes.

  • Plan, prepare, and assess learner work in line with awarding body requirements.

  • Support students in developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for careers in health, social care, and related sectors.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

  • Work closely with the wider curriculum and support teams to ensure strong student outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience teaching Health & Social Care (FE/College or post-16 settings ideal).

  • Strong industry knowledge — nursing, midwifery, NHS or social care backgrounds highly welcomed.

  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire learners.

  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
