Lewisham College, part of the NCG college group, is looking for enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistants to join our team and support our 16–18-year-old learners with a range of learning difficulties. About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students in the classroom and during learning activities. You’ll play a key role in helping learners develop independence, engage with their studies and succeed in a supportive and inclusive environment.
You will be working with students who may have a variety of learning needs, so patience, empathy and strong communication skills are essential.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about supporting young people with additional learning needs
- Patient, positive, and encouraging
- Able to build strong relationships with students and staff
- Committed to helping learners achieve their full potential
Essential requirements:
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Experience working with young people or young adults with learning difficulties
Contract Details
- Role: Learning Support Assistant
- Location: Lewisham College
- Contract: Fixed term – 1 year
- Start Date: September 2026
