Cover Supervisors – Secondary Schools
Location: Oxfordshire
Role: Cover Supervisor (Secondary)
Pay: (£100 – £140) Pay based on experience
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
Start Date: Immediately
The Supply Register is in partnership with Acer Trust, recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a group of secondary schools in Oxfordshire, including Matthew Arnold School in Oxford, The Cooper School in Bicester, Icknield Community College in Watlington, and Wood Green School in Witney.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and maintaining high standards of learning in the absence of teaching staff. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced classroom support staff looking to gain further school-based experience.
Key Responsibilities – Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence and ensure students remain on task
- Deliver pre-set work across a range of secondary subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people in a school or similar setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Confidence in leading groups of secondary-aged students
