About the Role
As a Brickwork Lecturer at Kidderminster College, you will:
- Deliver engaging and practical lessons across Brickwork programmes from Level 1 to Level 2,
- Plan and prepare learning activities that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements,
- Support learners in developing practical brickwork skills, technical knowledge, and industry awareness,
- Contribute to the delivery and development of apprenticeship provision, including the Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard,
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement,
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment within workshop and classroom settings.
What We’re Looking For
- A relevant Brickwork qualification at Level 3 or above,
- Industry experience within Brickwork or the wider construction sector,
- Knowledge of Level 2 Apprenticeship Standards, or a willingness to develop this knowledge,
- Experience with City & Guilds qualifications and assessment requirements is desirable,
- Strong communication and organisational skills,
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable, along with a valid or update-service DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
