SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT– LITHERLAND

The Supply Register is proud to be working alongside Rowan Park in Litherland, who are currently seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join their school immediately.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them reach their full potential.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Litherland, you will provide one-to-one and small-group support to children with a range of SEN needs, helping them with their learning, development and general day-to-day activities within the school.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
-
Providing support with reading, writing and general classroom activities
-
Supporting pupils with their learning and educational development
-
Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required
-
Helping children develop their confidence, independence and social skills
-
Supporting children with their day-to-day activities
-
Working closely with teachers and other school staff
-
Creating a positive, supportive and inclusive learning environment
SEN Experience Required
We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant in Litherland with previous experience supporting children with additional needs.
Experience working with children with needs such as:
-
Autism / ASC
-
ADHD
-
Learning difficulties
-
Speech and language needs
-
Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
-
Other Special Educational Needs
Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker or similar role would be highly beneficial.
✅ Requirements

Previous experience working with children with SEN
-
Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD or other additional needs
-
A fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service
-
A caring, patient and supportive approach
-
Excellent communication skills
-
A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them progress

Ability to work effectively as part of a school team
