Early Years Lecturer

Hours: 26 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Wednesday
Teaching Hours: 18 hours per week
Planning & Preparation Time: 8 hours per week
Salary: £24.43-£31.25 per hour inclusive of holiday pay.
The Supply Register is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of Tyne Coast College Group for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Lecturer to join the team at the South Tyneside College site on a temp basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional and qualified teacher to play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences that prepare students for successful careers within the Early Years sector.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective teaching across NCFE Early Years programmes, supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further study.
The role is primarily focused on Early Years provision; however, experience of T Level Education and Early Years delivery would be highly desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates who can confidently support and develop T Level provision or who have the willingness and capability to quickly build expertise in this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Early Years programmes.
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements.
- Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback and support.
- Create an inclusive and positive learning environment that promotes student achievement.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
- Support students in developing the skills and knowledge required for successful careers in Early Years.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 4 qualification in Early Years (or closely related discipline).
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Recent industry experience and strong knowledge of the Early Years sector.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience delivering NCFE qualifications.
- Experience teaching T Level Education and Early Years programmes.
- Previous teaching experience within Further Education or post-16 education.
